Play therapists are trained to observe and facilitate the therapy process. The main goals, regardless of the issue, are to help children regain their former level of functioning, enhance self-esteem and build the child’s coping resources. It is ideally suited to children 3-12 years of age. Parents are considered extremely important partners in the therapy process and are invited to take on a number of roles.
Our practice is a private practice that aims to help children and families by carefully finding out more about the child’s history, what brought the child or family for services and purposeful listening to what it is that the child or caregivers would like to see happen as a result of their involvement with RMPS.
